Feehan Sunday Jazz: Sherryl Marshall

The Feehan Sunday Jazz series brings professional jazz musicians from throughout the Tri State area to play.

 

Sherryl Marshall is multidimensional performer from New York.
She has recorded or performed live with a wide variety of
performers from: Gloria Gaynor, Leslie Gore, and Chubby
Checkers, to Southside Johnny, Johnny Rivers, RuPaul, Al
Kooper, and Joni Mitchell. She has also been heard in jingles, on
Saturday Night Live, the Today Show and has done film voice
overs for "Bonfire of the Vanities" and "Mambo Kings.

 

Light refreshments will be served.

About the Event

Sherryl Marshall is a New York singer who has worn many musical hats in her career. She recently appeared in La Divina Caratura a Mabu Mines production directed by Lee Bruer at La Mama. She is presently singing in Denis Leary’s band and she has recorded or performed live with everyone from Gloria Gaynor, Leslie Gore, Darlene Love, Chubby Checker to Peter Wolf, Southside Johnny, Johnny Rivers, Lou Gramm of Foreigner to Black 47, RuPaul, Al Kooper,Albert Collins to Johi Mitchell, Jane Siberry, Vallerie Simpson, Ashford & Simpson, The Klezmatics and a host of others. She was a regular member of the Buster Poindexter show for ten years.. She has been heard and seen on national telelvision in jingles and live broadcasts such as Conan O'Brien, Saturday Night Live and the Today Show. She has done film voiceovers (looping) on major motion pictures, including"Bonfire of the Vanities"and "Mambo Kings. She has sung her original compositions with many different New York bands over the years and her show "The Life and Times of Sherita Marshone the Argentine Bombshelter" was performed at the famous Bottom Line and the fabulous BAM cafe.
