Forget Winter, Forget Politics

LoHud Comedy brings comedians: Kyle Ocasio, Frank Liotti, and Adam Oliensis to the Center. Regulars in NYC comedy clubs, they have been on many television shows, entertained US troops world wide, been nominated for Tony and Clio awards and won numerous comedy awards.

LoHud Comedy was founded in 2010 for the purpose of bringing stand-up comedy to the Lower Hudson Valley. Since then, LoHud Comedy has presented roughly two shows per month, headlining both locally and nationally known talent, including such comedy legends and luminaries as Robert Klein, Colin Quinn, and Gilbert Gottfried.

LoHud Comedy shows also play monthly at New York City’s premier comedy destination, Gotham Comedy.

She recently returned from an Armed Forces Entertainment tour in Europe where she brought laughter to the US troops in five different countries.

ADAM OLIENSIS explores the lessons in humility he’s learning from his wife and children, along with the adjustments being forced on him by being a grown-up. Having lived as a child in East Africa, studied martial arts in India, and languished spiritually in New Jersey, Adam is attuned to the absurdities that arise in the everyday, mining the ironies and silliness found in the most humbling situations (with which he continues to gain vast experience).

Adam has recently opened for such comedy legends and luminaries as Robert Klein, Colin Quinn, Gilbert Gottfried, and Larry Miller. He performs at comedy clubs all over NYC and the surrounding area, including Gotham Comedy Club, Comic Strip Live, Levity Live, Broadway Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and Treehouse Comedy. Also at corporate & private events, synagogues, theatres, & JCCs throughout the Northeast.

He co-authored the movie, The Pompatus of Love, with Jon Cryer (Best Comedy, Worldfest-Charlotte), in which he stars along with Mr. Cryer and Kristen Scott Thomas. His plays have been produced by Ensemble Studio Theatre, among other companies in NYC, as well as in LA and regionally. As an actor, Adam has appeared on Broadway, Off Broadway, in Regional Theatre, in the movies, on TV, and in hundreds of commercials.

He has been nominated for a Clio Award (the Oscars of commercials) for Best Performance. He's also been nominated for both Tony & Drama Desk Awards for Best Revival. (And, no, it’s not an honor just to be nominated. Just being nominated sucks.)
