Be part of a new work that is moving, thoughtful and passionate.
The noted off-B'way Theatre Company Houses on the Moon presents true stories from people whose lives have been touched by guns.
Previously seen in NYC at Dixon Place, the evening has been described by audiences as soul stirring, deeply moving, surprising, hopeful and even humorous.
Included will be A Good Eye by Brenda Currin (told by Margaret Liston), The Life and Death of Jourdan Michael Bobbish as Told by his Uncle Rex Bobbish by Rex Bobbish, Message in a Body by Manuel Borras Olivera (told by Camilio Almonacid), Steven by Ian Eaton, The Hollow by Aiji Marie Gibson (told by Emily Weiner), Double Dutch by Cristina Hernandez, Permission Granted by Elaine Lane, Luck of the Draw by Antonius Wiriadjaja and Untltled by Jenna Worsham.
The program grew out of storytelling workshops led by Houses on the Moon with people whose lives have been touched in some way by guns and gun violence.
Curated by Jeffrey Solomon and Emily Weiner
This event is the result of a partnership with SPACE on Ryder Farm made possible, in part, through the Putnam Arts Council’s Arts Link Grant Program with funds from NYS Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Cuomo and the NYS Legislature.
