Coming soon to Arts on the Lake

An evening at the Boathouse

Fresh from the West End where he played the title role in Phantom of the Opera for the second time in his career, Marcus Lovett will be performing at the Sedgewood Boathouse in Western Kent, August 23 at 8 pm.

Having performed in venues around the world he began his career at 21 years of age in the original production of Les Miserables on Broadway. In 1993 he was the youngest actor to ever play Phantom on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include the title role in King David, Billy Bigelow in the Lincoln Center revival of Carousel, and Alex Dillingham in Aspects of Love.

He recently released his second record, "Marcus Lovett, Where is Love?"

Appearing with Mr. Lovett is Ken Miller, composer/arranger who has created hundreds of original works. Juilliard trained, he most recently released "Mountains, Memories, and Music." He is also the arranger and pianist on Mr. Lovett's new album “Marcus Lovett, Where is Love?”.

Joining Mr. Lovett as a special guest will be Dylan Lovett, a Frost School of Music trained singer/songwriter who joins Marcus on a track in "Where is Love?"

This event is presented by the Friends of Classical Music of Arts on the Lake. Arts on the Lake thanks the Sedgewood Club for supporting the arts in Kent.

The Sedgewood Boathouse is located at 1026 Barrett Circle West, Kent NY 10512.
