For all levels of experience - beginners to advanced students
Drawing is the basic foundation for all of the visual arts. It is an essential expressive tool with which to explore the internal and external world. Using various techniques, this class will focus on how to: draw and understand what you see; construct a composition; and develop an alphabet to convey expression using line and shading.
The materials needed for this class are:
Compressed Charcoal Sticks, vine and/or willow (no charcoal pencils)
pencils - 2B, 4B, 6B
a kneaded eraser
a drawing pad - 14"x17" or larger
transparent paper
a pencil sharpener.

About the Instructor
Elizabeth Hill
Elizabeth Hill received her BFA from SUNY Purchase and her MFA from Bard College. She also studied visual art and music at Bennington College, with additional training at Wooster Community Art Center and The Art Student’s League in New York. She has taught painting and drawing at Wooster Community Art Center, New Milford Public Schools, and privately in her studio. She was also the Arts Coordinator for Peace Pals at the World Peace Prayer Society in Amenia, NY. Elizabeth is currently represented by the New Arts Gallery in Litchfield, CT.
