Thursday, 4:15 pm – 5:45 pm, Nov 20 – Dec 18
Exploring the magic of prehistoric cave paintings, sculptures and totems.
This class is an extension of the current class of the same name. Children in this class will explore the magic of prehistoric cave paintings, such as those discovered at Lascaux. As a group, they will create and “paint” a “cave”, inspired by the vivid imagery. The children will also learn about ancient stone circles, such as Stonehenge, and will create replicas in miniature. Simple animal “totems” and sculptures, musical instruments, and natural dyes will also be created. As usual, creativity and individual expression will be emphasized, and the focus will be on stretching imaginations. Please note there will be no class September 25th. Tuition: $65.00 Public $60.00 Members. Just a note class size for this class is limited.
