Benefit Concert a Success
Over a hundred students (and some adults) joined hands to raise close to $1,000 for the Tsunami Relief Fund of the American Red Cross at the Concert for Japan organized by Camel High School students Gabrielle Buck and Thomas Garrahan.
Wooden Easel for Children

Classical Friends 2011
The Friends of Classical Music have announced their 2011 season, including a visit by the Voxare String Quartet and harpist Nancy Allen.
Spring 2011 Art Exhibit - Call for Entries
The Visual Arts Committee (VAC) of Arts on the Lake is hosting the Spring Exhibition to celebrate local artists. The exhibition is open to artists 18 years and older. The deadline for registration is Saturday, April 30. See the prospectus for more information.

Artist Member Peter Rossi Passes Away
We were saddened to learn of the passing of our member Peter Rossi - artist, dedicated social worker, social activist and one of the founders of the legendary Putnam Valley Night Kitchen. Visiting hours are at the Beecher Funeral Home (Brewster) Friday (2/25), 4:30-7:30, and Saturday (2/26), 1-3.

Grant Announced
It was announced (12/8/10) that the Putnam Arts Council has awarded Arts on the Lake a grant for the 2011 summer concert series. We are pleased for the Council's continuing support of our programs.

Eleanor Reissa and Friends Celebrate a Yiddish Hanukkah
Friend and supporter Eleanor Reissa (Tony-Nominee / International Concert Artist) and her extraordinary new band led by Frank London, trumpeter extraordinaire, leader of the Klezmatics and the Klezmer Brass All Stars, accordionist virtuoso Patrick Farrell, Brian Drye on slide trombone, Marty Confurius on upright bass, and Rex Benincasa on percussion and drums will perform Sunday, December 12, at 2:30 pm at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, 36 Battery Place, New York, NY. Michelle in Peekskill
Member and Jazz Vocalist extraordinaire Michelle LeBlanc will perform at The Division Street Grill, 26 North Division Street, Peekskill, on Friday, November 12, 7:30pm - 10:30 pm. Fund-Raiser Report
It will take time to determine the financial success of our Fall Fund Raiser last Friday (10/1), but the Silent Auction alone raised $2,700. The Day of Golf, because of heavy rain, had to be postponed. James and Wilma Baker accepted honors from Representative Sandy Galef and Senator Vincent Leibell, a song from Kate Hoekstra and Tim Pitt, and a sculpture from Roy Volpe.
