Cabaret Star Ray Jessel Dies at 85
Writer, songwriter and cabaret star Ray Jessel who headlined the AotL Fund Raiser in September 2012 and performed “A Musical Evening With Ray Jessel” at the Center in October 2010 passed away on July 17. After his appearance on America's Got Talent at the age of 84 in 2014, he became something of a You Tube sensation.

Tony Caretta at Wisdom House
Tony Caretta, whose Studio to Wall course was well received at Arts on the Lake, is presenting a similar course at the Wisdom House Retreat Center. This program provides students with an depth understanding of the real world hurdles artists encounter in their pursuit of having their art work shown in public.
Clearwater Festival Special Offer for AotL Members
Roy Volpe, AotL Board Member, and Sue Gamache, long time AotL member, have arranged a substantial discount in ticket prices to the Clearwater Festival for Arts on the Lake members. For many years they have helped organize this wonderful music and environmental festival originally founded by Pete and Toshi Seeger over 30 years ago. The Festival runs June 20th and 21st. Noted Journalist and Doctor at Arts on the Lake

Stand Up Comedy Returns to Arts on the Lake

Tony Nominee Lucas at Arts on the Lake
Written in 1983, Craig Lucas’s play Reckless has been produced first off-Broadway, then on Broadway, was made into a film and on Saturday, May 30, it will be given an anniversary reading by the Blue Horse Repertory Company with the playwright in attendance at Arts on the Lake in Lake Carmel. Casaburi Video Project - Arts in Putnam
Arts on the Lake was provided a partial grant from the New York State/Putnam Arts Fund to have Chris Casaburi create a short film highlighting a number of artists and organizations in Putnam County. Alex Shundi who has taught Intensive Painting at the Center for a number of years is the first artist to be filmed. This Intensive Painting short film highlights both Alex and Arts on the Lake.

Benefit for Nepal - Tibetan Bowls Evening
Beth Mullin, who is playing the Tibetan Bowls on the evening of May 6, is dedicating the proceeds of the evening to the victims of the earthquake in Nepal. Beth's teacher, Master Sound Healer Shree Krishna Shahi, has his school in Katmandu, Nepal.
