Alex Shundi Exhibition in Millerton
The Art of Alex Shundi will open at The Moviehouse Studio Gallery, January 16, with a gallery talk from 5 - 6 pm and a reception from 6 - 7 pm. Exhibition runs from January 16 until April 14. The Gallery is located at 48 Main Street, Millerton, NY 12547.

AotL Jazz Ensemble to play
Mark your calendar to come and hear the resident Arts on the Lake Jazz Ensemble on Monday, Dec 14 at 7 pm. Among the many musicians members have played with are Ray Charles, Count Basie, Eubie Blake, Lou Rawls, Blood Sweat and Tears, Nelson Riddle, Joe Cocker and Iggy Pop.

New Intensive Painting Class
Alex Shundi's Intensive Painting Class has started a new session. Students are welcome to join this class designed for both advanced and beginning students, regardless of disciplines chosen - landscape, figure, still life, abstract, etc. Students should bring the preferred medium.

Aboundaddara and The Vera List Center for Art and Politics
An AotL member recently provided the Center with information about Abounaddara, a collective of anonymous artists within Syria who formed a film making collective that releases a weekly video documenting the current Syrian world. Awarded The New School's 2014 Vera List Center Prize for Art and Politics, they have mounted an exhibition, The Right to the Image, which opens Oct. 22 at the Aronson Galleries in NYC, with an on-line exhibition here.
Kent Highway Supervisor Rich Othmer to Perform in Shakespeare at Arts Center
Kent Highway Supervisor Richard Othmer has joined others to present the worker scenes from Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in Bard on the Lake at the Lake Carmel Arts Center on Saturday, October 24, at 8 pm. Read full press release.
