Paul Austin's Liberty (NY) Free Theatre production
Called "the most amazing piece of incidental writing of the decade" when first performed in the early 1960's, Nobel Laureate Samuel Beckett's Krapp's Last Tape tells the shattering story of the man who, after 30 years, plays back the autobiographical tape he had recorded on his 39th birthday.
Krapp will be portrayed by Paul Austin, the Founder and Director of the Liberty (NY) Free Theatre in this one-act production.
Samuel Beckett's output of plays, screenplays, poetry and fiction provide a chronicle of the existential spirit of the 20th Century.
"The story only deepens with each re-visit." - James Shearwood
Krapp's Last Tape will be followed by a Beckett "talk-back" with Mr. Austin and guests.
