How to Write the Publishable Story

Former Managing Editor of the Putnam Press Marty Collins, current Managing Editor of the Putnam Press/Times Holly Toal and Chief Operations Officer of Examiner Media Faith Ann Butcher will lead a workshop in writing articles and press releases for local papers.  Basics such as the lead sentence and the reverse pyramid format will be presented.  Participants in the workshop will re-work story material so as to achieve publishable stories. Workshop will last about 2 hours.  Open to all levels of experience and interest.  Participants should bring a writing instrument - manual or electronic.

Public admission is $5. There is no charge for students or members of Arts on the Lake.
