Writers: Poetry Workshop

This participatory event will be held at the Kent Recreation Building, 770 Route 52, Kent Lakes, NY - entrance to workshop is from North Terry Road.
Part of our Writers and Writing series, this workshop will be led by poet Alan Devenish.
Participants will engage in exercises designed to generate poetry through wordplay, memory and imagination. All levels of experience are welcome. Bring curiosity and a writing instrument. All ages. Workshop will last about 2 hours.
A donation of $5 is asked from the public. There is no charge for members of Arts on the Lake. Those who plan to attend should email: rsvp@artsonthelake.org or call 845 231-1084.
About the Event
Alan Devenish writes and teaches poetry at SUNY/Westchester Community College and the Bard College Institute for Writing and Thinking where he leads weekend and week-long poetry workshops for educators. He has read his poetry and conducted a previous poetry workshop at Arts on the Lake.
