2024 Membership and Fundraising Campaign
Tuesday, December 31, at 12:00 am
My goodness, how did it get to be Fall already? It has been quite a full and enriching Spring and Summer here at the Art Center and Fall will be ushering in more great events.
I hope many of you had the opportunity to attend some of our Spring and Summer events that included the ever popular, Back to the Garden 1969, our annual Band and Orchestra Camp student performances, classical performances resulting in standing ovations, “Open Stage” presented by the Putnam County Dance Program, 2 Spring Art Shows that featured numerous new artists, a visit by a Good Witch and an exploration of the Tao and Photography.
The excitement of presenting all these events also came with some substantial challenges. While the Covid era is behind us, we and other local and national non-profits continue to experience its reverberations financially and otherwise. Attendance is still not the same as before and we are working hard to bring more people into the AotL community. This year, one of our major funding sources, the generous business community, expressed significant economic uncertainty resulting in a significant drop in their sponsorship amounts.
So, as we begin our 2024 Fall membership and Fundraising Campaign, we hope you will again consider making a generous donation as well as renew your memberships to the Art Center, so we can continue our important work of bringing the arts to our community.
