1-Three hour Workshop
Japanese Bookbinding or stab binding is an ancient art developed from scrolls. These are folded structures, butterfly books into accordian books into books folded and bound on one side. Many traditional bound designs followed such as hemp stitch and the tortoise shell. Bring your Suminagashi paper from the previous class or just yourself - decorative paper for the covers will be provided. Join us for this exploration of designing your books for journals, photo albums, notes, cookbooks and more.
Christina di Marco who taught the Suminagashi workshop returns to teach this technique.
