Ben, Trevor and Judith discover One-Third of a Nation

Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 4:00 pm

Coming soon to Arts on the Lake

Written in 1938, twenty-somethings know this rent story well in 2022.

Note new date.

Given the assignment to find examples of “the more things change, the more they stay the same," these students locate a play on, of all things, housing.
Its title taken from Roosevelt's second inaugural address, this Federal Theatre Project play opened with an onstage fire, and after shining light on Trinity Church’s property holdings and Congress’s regional fights, concluded with a call to action torn from headlines.

Our version with actors zoomed in from three counties, asks the same questions in one-third of the time (45 min.).
