Friends of Classical Music: Strings on the Lake

This string ensemble members have collectively perform and record with the world’s greatest artists and orchestras.

 

Yevgenia Strenger is the featured violin soloist in Bach's "Violin Concerto in A Minor." Yevgenia is the concertmaster of the New York City Opera Orchestra, a member of the NYC Ballet Orchestra and has played with the NY Philharmonic in NYC, on tour in the U.S and throughout Europe and South America. She has also performed as a soloist and chamber musician in concert halls of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, and played in every major concert hall worldwide on New York Philharmonic orchestra tours.

Among the many groups these players have performed and recorded with: The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, The NYC Opera, The NYC Ballet, The Orchestra of St. Lukes, The St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, The NY Philharmonic, The Glimmerglass Opera, The NJ Symphony, The Palm Beach Opera. Members have also performed in over 60 different Broadway shows and numerous recording artists including Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, and Whitney Houston.

 

The program also features: St. Paul’s Suite by Gustav Holst, who later went on to compose The Planets. They will also perform the prize winning "String Sextet in D Major" op. 68 of Arnold Krug, composed in 1897

 

This performance will be held at the Sedgewood Boat House  located at 1026 Barrett Circle West, Kent NY 10512. Masks will be required to attend this concert. The boathouse provides very good circulation of outside air.

 

This performance is part of the Friends of Classical Music, a group whose yearly memberships enable us to provide these concerts. Please consider joining the Friends who also are provided a special dinner in connection with one of the concerts. This season's date is still to be decided. Information will be made available as soon as possible.
