"Above Suspicion" and More Beautiful

     Arts on the Lake, the Philipstown Depot Theatre, and Tompkins Corners Cultural Center have joined together to present a series of radio plays written in 1940 with original plays written during the pandemic as on-screen readings.

     This third Alliance streamed reading pairs "Above Suspicion" by Sherwood Anderson, directed by Donald Kimmel, with More Beautiful by Craig Lucas, directed by Alice Jankel.

     In "Above Suspicion," set shortly before WWII, a teen visitor from Nazi Germany has trouble with an important aspect of American life. In More Beautiful, Craig Lucas turns that idea on its head in 2021.
