Saturday, August 21, 2021 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Workshop is full
Sorry the class is full now.
Chirstina DiMarco guides us through this ancient Japanese art of ink floating on water. Please join us for a magical exploration of Suminagashi.
Intricate combed designs will unfold. We will have a partner, the wind, as we work outside, weather permitting. We will capture our designs on Oriental rice paper, and use many techniques, including a few borrowed from Turkish marbling which was practiced later in the Near East. One can use the papers for art in themselves or for bookbinding and framing of photographs or cards.Adults Wear an apron! Bring paper to experiment if you’d like!
Material cost is already included in the price.
All classes will be limited in size and will follow mandated NYS Covid guidelines in place at the time of the class.
