Feehan Sunday Jazz: Clarence Banks

The Feehan Sunday Jazz series brings professional jazz musicians from throughout the Tri State area to play.
Our Spring 2019 series kicks off with American jazz trombone player, Clarence Banks. Born in Englewood, NJ, he started playing trombone professionally in high school and after graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BA in music education, he went on to recorded with Slide Hampton and his World of Trombones. He has worked with artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, the Four Tops, and the Temptations.
Currently, he is a member of the Count Basie Orchestra, and was the last musician to join the band while Mr. Basie was still alive.
