Saturday Critiques
Saturday, June 9, 2018 10:30 am to 1:30 pm
3 separate workshops withTony Carretta
Saturday Critique - Each artist is welcome to bring up to 5 works to be critiqued focusing on the elements of critical evaluation as well as intent and purpose. The session will also address issues related to each participant’s immediate challenges, both creatively and logistically, with the goal of resolving and brainstorming possible solutions as a group.
Tony Carretta is a gallery owner, author and artist with work in many prestigious institutions including the Smithsonian. He has taught a number of classes at Arts on the Lake concerning the role of galleries and how artists can approach this commercial side of the art world. Attendees have often asked that he continue to provide comments about their individual work after the class is over. Thus we have created these workshops to provide an opportunity for working artists who may appreciate a professional's eye.
This will be the first of three workshops with the first one starting June 9th from 10:30 to 2:30. The later dates are to be determined.
Cost per session is $40 dollars for general admission and $30 for AotL members.
