Dinner and Chamber Music
The Alexander String Quartet, the first American quartet to win the prestigious London International String Quartet competition, will be sharing dinner and select music with friends of classical music.
If you were in the audience for Eric Grossman’s striking performance of “Zigeunerweisen†or for his outstanding concert last October you know how well received the performances were and how responsive our community is to fine entertainment. To continue to bring great music to the Arts Center at an affordable ticket price, a Friends of Classical Music is being formed. To join the Friends of Classical Music a minimum donation of $125 per person is requested. This donation will entitle you to attend three extraordinary musical events:
- An evening of dinner and chamber music with the Alexander String Quartet on Wednesday April 21st at 6:30 pm at the home of Bob Rogers.
- The July 2nd performance by artists from the New York City Ballet Orchestra at
Lincoln Center at the Sedgewood Boathouse.
- Alexander String Quartet concert at Arts on the Lake in November.
If you would like to attend the April 21st event and consider joining the Friends at a later date, a $45 per person donation is requested. Seating for the April 21st event is limited so, if you are mailing a response, please send it by Monday April 12th. Tickets may be purchased on-line and reserved by phone through Tuesday, April 20th. If you need additional information you may email inquiry@artsonthelake.org or phone 845-228-2685.
