Now with four comics.
Lo Hud Comedy returns with favorite Charles McBee, Joanne Filan's "Upstream Comedy," Gotham Comedy Club's Adam Oliensis, and John Wendel to open.
From Toledo, Ohio, Charles McBee has made national stand-up comedy appearances on Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV and Laughs on FOX. He starred in the critically acclaimed Off Broadway Production, HA!… The Musical, from Emmy award winning writer, Michelle Wendt. And he has performed at the New York Comedy Festival, stars in his web series, It’s a Chucked up Life, and has appeared at colleges and clubs across the country. Described as humor with a positive wit, McBee mixes personal stories with social commentary.
Knowing comedy to be "upstream of consciousness," Joanne Filan is a regular at Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, in the traveling show, “The Broads of Broadway,” and at colleges and festivals around the country. She’s a co-producer of a weekly show at New York Comedy Club, as well as co-hosting “The MoJo Variety Show.”
Having opened for Robert Klein, Colin Quinn and Larry Miller, Adam Oliensis explores in comedy "the lessons in humility he learns from his wife and children." He also co-authored the movie "The Pompatus of Love." As an actor, Oliensis has appeared on Broadway, Off Broadway, in the movies, on TV, and in hundreds of TV & radio commercials. He is the producer of LoHud Comedy.
A comedian's comedian, when John Wendel steps on stage, the comics in the back stop talking, listen, and start laughing. Known throughout the Hudson Valley, from Poughkeepsie to Piermont, as one of the funniest of the up-and-coming comics, he's won numerous comedy contests, performed with LoHud Comedy at The Turning Point, Gotham Comedy, and Levity Live, and continues to stay one step ahead of the law.
