The Puppet Group of Arts on the Lake presents four ancient and classic poems re-imagined for both grown ups and sophisticated kids.
Puppets freeze in the Yukon blizzards, run from witches through haunted highland forests, evade trolls in Nordic fjords and are tricked by a clever parrot named Pakshi.
The tales to be told are:
From Persia: The Merchant and the Parrot by Rumi
From the Yukon: The Cremation of Sam McGee by Robert Service
From Scotland:Tam O'Shanter by Robert Burns
From Norway: The White Cat of Dovre Mountain, a folktale
The production is directed by Mary Schreiber, and includes live music, narration, amazing puppets and a new puppet stage.
