Delving into the world of painting
This current session is now full.
This class delves into the world of painting. Mediums in oil, acrylic, pencil/charcoal are all accepted. We will explore various methods of approaching an image: technical, formal, and conceptual. We will address setting up your palette, understanding color, paint application, the importance of developing a composition and improving drawing skills. Art history as well as current artists will be referenced for inspiration. Feel free to bring your own projects. If you are a beginner, specific projects will be assigned. The class is set up so everyone’s individual needs are addressed. We strive to provide a comfortable and nurturing atmosphere for artists to grow. All skill levels are welcome.
This is a 6 class session that meets on Mondays from 1:30 to 4:30. Hill also introduces students to different artist's work each week for further historical understanding. The next session of this class begins Aug 31. You can register using the button in the upper right of this page. If you have questions or concerts please email eseewald@optonline.net.
