In his exile from Germany (1933-1947) Bertolt Brecht began to tell the story of what was happening in a collection of scenes known as Fear and Miseries of the Third Reich or, as it was known when first produced in New York in 1944, The Private Life of the Master Race.
In staged readings of two scenes from the larger work, the Blue Horse Repertory brings The Jewish Wife, The Informer and music of the period to AotL.
Directed by Andrew Joffe, additional performers include Stephen Jones, Jody Satriani, Caleb Brady, Lora Lee Ecobelli and James Shearwood.
